February focus: Exercise
During the month of February we focus on exercise. All classes played a Valentine's Tag game and learned how aerobic exercise is good for your heart. On the days many of us eat extra treats such as on Valentine's Day it is especially important to get a little extra exercise. It is recommended that children get at least 60 minutes of exercise every or almost every day. For adults the recommended time is 30 minutes. At Longfellow School we will celebrate exercise this month by having an all school dance, the Cha-Cha slide, as well as morning announcements about the importance of exercising.
